For kitchens, bathrooms and smaller windows, the blind size calculator is usually the better fit. For dining rooms, cafés and restaurants, use the tablecloth calculator. For bedrooms, guest rooms and holiday lets, use the bedding calculator.
Measuring tips
- Use a metal tape measure. Fabric tapes stretch and give you a smaller figure than the real one.
- Measure in two or three places. Windows, tables and mattresses are rarely perfectly square.
- Stick to one unit. Every calculator works in centimetres or inches and converts for you.
- Write each measurement down as you go, and note which room it’s for.
- Sizes on ready-made soft furnishings can vary by up to 5% either way, so round up when you’re on the limit.
Fitting out a whole property?
Every calculator keeps a running list. Add each window, table or bed as you go, and it totals the order by size. Copy the list when you’re done and use it to place one order for the whole job, whether that’s a house, a holiday park or a hotel floor.
- No minimum orderOrder a single item or stock a whole building.
- Free deliveryOn orders over £100, to mainland UK in 2 to 6 working days.
- 5% off over £500Taken off automatically at checkout.

Size calculator questions
Are the calculators free to use?
Yes. There’s no sign-up and no account needed. Enter your measurements and the result appears straight away.
Do the calculators work in inches?
Yes. Each one has a centimetres and inches switch at the start, and converts your measurements if you change it halfway through.
Will my list be saved if I leave the page?
No. The list is cleared when you close or refresh the page, so use the Copy list button and paste it into an email or a note before you go.
Do the results match what Homefords stocks?
Yes. Every calculator is built around the sizes in our range, so the size it recommends is one you can order. When nothing we stock fits, it says so and suggests the closest option.
What if my window or bed is an unusual size?
The calculators handle most awkward sizes. They’ll tell you to use two pairs of curtains on a wide window, lay tablecloths end to end on a long table, or choose the nearest bed size that’s wide enough. If something doesn’t fit, they’ll tell you plainly.
